Prince Conti Reigns Supreme Yet Again

by Scott F

When you find something really nice and that works well, you stick with it. I discovered the Prince Conti Hotel about 10 years ago and have been a faithful guest many times cents, this current visit being no exception.

Myself and 14 others came to New Orleans prior to our Caribbean cruise and I suggested that we all stay at the Prince Conti since I had been here so many times and loved it so much. Everyone was in agreement after they got here and saw how nice, how comfortable, and how much character the hotel has. Since my last visit they have completed renovations and updating of the rooms and furniture and it is even nicer now than it was before. The furniture fixtures and staff are in comparable and I just cannot say enough good about that Prince Conti.

As I’ve stated before in TripAdvisor reviews the location price and atmosphere of this hotel are simply unbelievable especially considering the number of hotels in New Orleans and especially the number of hotels in the immediate vicinity of the Prince Conti who are priced at far greater rates and really do not offer anymore. I am already thinking about and looking forward to my next visit here and will of course be booking here.

Mr. Valentino and staff you and your hotel make coming to New Orleans even more special and I suppose part of that is because I know what awaits me in the security, safety, beauty and serenity of the Prince Conti Hotel. Thank you for all that you all do and I feel like I’ve gotten to know you all now over the times I’ve stayed here and especially with this most recent visit of several nights. I must mention that Amye, Toya, Clay, Brian, Landon and Martin all were so very helpful and friendly and are more than just “employees...” they are true ambassadors for this beautiful historic property as well as for the great city of New Orleans. Few, if any hotels offer such extremely fine and personable service. I feel like I’m rambling on but I just cannot say enough good about the Prince Conti and the Valentino hotels in general.

Again, thank you all for your help and your hospitality to me and to my friends who came with me this time. Please know that we look forward to returning sooner than later and will definitely count on seeing you all again. Pax.

Fabulous New Rooms

by teachspednow

Okay, admittedly, the small lobby has not been updated (it smelled a little smokey/stale upon arrival)...but this is a classic hotel (Judy Garland stayed here) and we don't spend our time in the lobby!

The rooms ARE terrific! We enjoyed a VERY reasonably priced Junior Suite with a comfy bed, 2 flat screen TVs , Kerig Coffee machine, large couch, great shower and thirsty towels. Each day the room was remade to perfection. The staff is delightful and helpful! It is just a block from Bourbon Street without all the craziness...and the on site Bombay Club is a wonderful spot for live entertainment that you can enjoy while still being able to carry on a conversation!! Adorable adjacent cafe made for easy breakfasts before we hit the town to explore!! Highly recommended!
