Reviews

No before you go

I recently stayed at the royal Atlantic , I’m so displeased that I am writing this review about a hotel
For the first time ever !! I feel like I’ve been totally ripped off / paying close to $1200 for two nights , one I was placed in the rear ancillary motel in the back / my water view of the the beautiful Atlantic Ocean was non existent, but a great view of the parking lot and local street .. I had to measure every step while standing in a slippery tub while showering in 6inches of water ... The stove was a joke / but most upsetting was the two jet engines I had to listen to all night ...Aka .. the AC Units ..
The beds were uncomfortable , the boys could not sleep on the Sofa bed / old and steel springs kept them up as well ... I am so disappointed ... thru and thru .. the final kick was my Complimentary breakfast cost me $12.00 .. oh milk / bagel / meat in the omelette and bacon not included .. Please try another more updated hotel / the motels out there are not updated and just cattle in the tourist ... I’ve been going to montauk for over 30 years , I will not return in 2020... way over crowded , long lines every where .. Good food establishment few and far between ... be a contrarian and enjoy the NYC .. it’s half as busy ... Montauk is not the quaint quite town it pretends to be ...

Just awful

I’ve been coming here for years and my experiences each year staying at the hotel have gotten progressively worse. The room was so bad this year, we ended up sleeping outside on our final night. These rooms are very dangerous, especially to children, and loaded with mold. The “hotel” likes to solve these mold issues with paint (picture below), thinking that can mask the danger underneath.

My fiancé and I have been to the doctor multiple times since staying here with various respiratory infections. If you care about your health, I would not recommend staying here.
