Beautiful view-the worst service

by Bob C

we were staying for one night as my daughter and her family were staying there. we requested from the front desk to be near my daughter as we were helping with the children (twins 5 months). the place was less than 25% occupied and the woman at the desk said that it was not possible and put us at the other end of the complex. I complained and told her we were cancelling our reservation and she stated that we would not be getting our money back and then miraculously she said the room 2 doors down from my daughter was available. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Great location but missing some things

by ayildiztravel

This was my first time staying at the Surf Club and the location is amazing. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance. The grounds were very well kept and you are right on the beach. The bed was very uncomfortable , they need a new mattress. Some items that were missing from the room that would have been good were some teabags and coffee so that we could make some first thing in the morning. There was a coffee pot and filters but no coffee. When I called the front desk and asked for tea or coffee they said they do not have any. I found that to be disappointing considering that is usually something hotels can provide if needed. I also think they should have provided some complimentary bottles of water to have too. The fact that the front desk is not 24/7 I found not to be great, because what if you have a problem with your room , then what are you supposed to do. I would recommend the hotel for the location but I do think they need to improve on some general hotel standards.
