Overview

The Eagle Bay Inn is an affordable hotel in a quiet area of town. Most of its 16 rooms have two queen beds, plus a refrigerator, microwave and TV. For a large family, they do have one room that sleeps six. There’s a free continental breakfast of fruit, toast, cereal, drinks and pastries that is left out all day for guests to snack on whenever they want.

The Inn is directly across from the water, and just down the street from the Sitka National Historical Park, where you can admire native totem poles along nearly 2 miles of walking trails. The Alaska Raptor Center is also nearby. Downtown Sitka is just over a mile away, where you’ll find a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Right next to your hotel, however, are several casual eateries, including a pizza shop and a coffee stand. The Inn’s owners are more than happy to answer questions and help you plan your visit to the area. For the price, comfort and location, The Eagle Bay Inn is a great choice for a family vacation to Sitka.

Comfortable and welcoming

by srdcbd5000

I spent 4 nights at the Eagle Bay Inn and had a very welcoming time in a clean spacious room. Room has small fridge and microwave. The kitchen is always stocked with coffee, fruit, bagels, juice, bread and snack treats etc for breakfast or a snack any time of the day or night.
The Best and most amazing part of staying here is that you meet Vicki - the 70 years young owner who has more personality and energy than anyone. She is delightful, funny welcoming, charming and hilarious. She carried my luggage from the airport pickup and up the stairs at the hotel before I could even Get my hands on my own suitcase. The hotel is on the far side of town in a quiet spot, and it’s a pleasant walk through the most stunning and beautiful national park forest to get to the centre of town and the marina area
There is a takeout restaurant in the building complex
Great value
The building doesn’t look like much on the outside but the rooms are impeccable
Request a room overlooking the water, hopefully will see the bald eagles in the mornings

Our flight into Sitka was delayed until late at night due to weather, but staff was totally accommodating and cooperative in dealing with our situation and making our experience memorable. Highest regards.
