Security is a big issue. This should have been my 1st sign to leave. The side doors to enter the hotel through the stairway were opened to the public! There was a sign on one door that said "Use key to enter" but there was not a key lock to use your card, you could simple OPEN the door with no key. The other side of the hotel the door was opened, the door was broken and could not close completely. After entering the hallway through the unlocked stairway entrance I saw a lizard ON THE 3RD FLOOR HALLWAY! This was my 2nd sign to leave the hotel. Upon entering my room it smelled old and dusty not to mention there were at least 4 bugs in the room. I attempted to find another hotel but because of the eventful weekend in Birmingham everything was sold out in my price range. I had no choice but to stay there. I slept on top of the covers with a blanket from home. The bed was very uncomfortable. I kept telling myself it was only for one night. If that wasn't enough the air condition cover kept falling off of the unit, the deadbolt lock to my door would not lock I only had the flip lock on the door. I already didn't feel safe and did not want to cause an issue with management, so I stayed the night but swore to NEVER STAY AGAIN!!! I was sure to tell them before I left of all the issues to be addressed in their hotel.

I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and the attentiveness of the staff. Breakfast was great and I loved the pool. It really was a great, comfortable, affordable stay and I would highly recommend it to others.
