Lost items and delays for check in

by Ekta K

I booked 3 rooms for a bachelorette party recently. On the day of check in, 2 of the rooms were not ready until 5pm! Check in time is at 4, and I had called the hotel a week in advance to let them know our arrival time. Can you imagine having 10 girls get ready in one room for a night in LA? When I brought this up with management, they lied and told me that the rooms were ready before 4, but they reported check in times for rooms that weren't even ours. Later during the weekend, housekeeping threw away personalized champagne flutes I had made for each of my friends! Why would you throw away a glass with someone's name printed on it? For a luxury hotel, the customer service is really terrible. I was told I would be contacted and reimbursed for the missing glasses, but this never happened AND the hotel stopped responding to me. Save yourself the trouble and book a different hotel!
