Excellent stay at the Orlando hotel

by 171meganh

We stayed here for four nights in November. On arrival, we were a little early but our room was ready which was excellent after a long flight. Daijai was super friendly on front desk as were all the other staff. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance to shops and lovely restaurants. The breakfast was really nice too. We would definitely recommend the Orlando to anyone visiting LA. The only negative is that the pool is small if you are looking to use it!

Great location, tired rooms and not the most helpful front desk

by amitclodha

The location of the hotel is awesome with some great restaurants close by. However as other reviewers have commented the rooms are tired and worst of all the air conditioning in my room made the buzzing noise as if there was a couple of insects in the room in a faulty refrigerator. Gave me a headache so be aware if you are a light sleeper or noise bothers you!

Unfortunately the front desk staff were not the greatest help as the hotel was sold out and they couldn’t move me to any room (only other available room was one which had sharing doors and they mentioned that those were even noisier).

The helpful engineer who did come to have a look was sympathetic but said that this noise was a standard problem as the AC system was old and he knew the motor could be fixed but there was no point according to his boss (also confirmed by the front office staff)

Other than the unhelpful front office (promised to call back - never did) and the tired rooms the hotel restaurant is nice, the valet super helpful and the gymn is ok.

It’s amazing how people who work in the hospitality industry sometimes forget the simple things - all that is required is a smile and being a bit more hospitable!
