Originally a hunting and fishing lodge, Spruce Point Inn sprawls over the tip of a peninsula that overlooks Boothbay Harbor. Just over 100 accommodations dot the 57-acre property. A range of lodgings are available, from inn rooms to summer cottages. A newer, renovated lodge offers multi-bedroom condominiums that are perfect for families who want a bit more privacy and space. Make sure to secure a room with an ocean view, to take advantage of one of the most-loved aspects of the units — the view. All rooms contain miniature refrigerators, coffeemakers and private decks. Cable television and wireless hot spots are also in the units. Select accommodations also feature a wood burning fireplace, kitchen with gas stove, sitting room with pull-out couch and whirlpool tubs.
Couple the gorgeous views with scrumptious food at 88 Grandview — Spruce Point’s onsite restaurant. The cuisine contains locally grown ingredients and fresh Maine seafood. Bogie’s Hideaway offers the more casual experience of a bistro and bar combination. Parents may want to visit the fitness center or spa, which provides facials and body wraps. For kids, Spruce Point has a saltwater pool and a heated, freshwater pool. Also, a children’s program runs activities for kids, during the day and evenings. Typically, at these clubs, kids will play group games, do crafts, go swimming or watch movies. Evening programs include dinner.
The town of Boothbay Harbor offers many opportunities to browse unique shops and galleries. Guests can also sample Maine’s signature fresh-caught lobster at mom-n-pop style restaurants in town. The area also provides opportunities to golf and sail.
Pets are also welcome at this hotel.
