Clean and central location

by JoS2076

It's tired and dated, but for the price it's a great stay. Exceptionally clean, just old stains on toilet etc. It was a great stay until the end when an extra bill from the pool bar was added at the end, despite me paying cash for that one. It took several people to talk to to try and clear it up, but I left feeling I still wasn't believed, even though my signature was not on the receipt, especially when the manager said if i'm telling the truth he will have to sack his staff member as karma is karma, trying to intimidate me. So my suggestion is only pay at the end for receipts you have signed for rather than cash at the pool.

Reasonable Hotel

First time staying in the area and the hotel is reasonably priced for what it offers. Stayed in a two bedroom Family Cottage, room 927, for 10 nights. The cottage, although quite tired, is a great size, built over two floors that include 2 bed and bathrooms plus a dining and sitting area near the kitchen. A couple of issues were that the toilet didn't flush in the downstairs bathroom on the first two days, but was attended to by the efficient and friendly staff and after that all was good and the kettle leaked water....not good with electricity :). The breakfast, which was included in our room charge, was adequate for what we wanted. You had a choice of 5 different breakfasts and you could help yourself to tea, coffee, juice, cereal, fruit and cakes. Sadly the pool was a horrible green colour for the majority of our stay so only had a couple of quick dips. The beds were very comfortable and the aircon worked an absolute treat.
