We surprised my husband for his 50th birthday with a family vacation to Puerto Vallarta! We have 4 kids, 2 teens, 1 tween and 1 preschooler!! So, travelling as a family can get pricey! However, I did alot of research and we ended up having a more +fantastic vacation!

We booked our holiday through Sunwing vacations and stayed at a resort called the Crown Paradise which is right beside the cruise ship terminal in Puerto Vallarta.

It had several ala carte restaurants and a beach front buffet which was handy for the lunch times.

Breakfasts were in the main dining room and we found it to be very busy but they move you in as fast as they can and service was really great, especially if you got the same bus boy, they get to know you and have fun with you.

Lunch we ate either at the beach front buffet (mainly burgers, hot dogs and pizza) or the main dining room.

Dinner we would either eat in the japanese restaurant or italian restaurant and of course, the main dining room was great as well. The kids loved all of the specialty restaurants and the food was very good.

The pools were very warm which was really nice, you could swim for hours without getting cold!

The kids' pool is very cool.........has a pirate ship and lots of slides and is great for toddlers in one area, our kids loved it!

The only downside we found was the kids club, no one spoke any english so our 3 year old was freaked right out and refused to stay, so no kids club for us! Oh well.

The rooms were a good size, we had 2 rooms side by side (no adjoining door but that was okay). We had little fridges in our room and the room service was great.

We got really good prices on this vacation so it made it possible for us to take all 6 of us which is extremely rare for us........as it is just too expensive to pay for 6 people travelling........but this was a fantastic holiday and the kids loved it. Our now 4 year old asks quite often when we are going back to Mexico she loved it so much!!!
