Destination Rose Hall Jamaica. This was our 3rd trip to the Iberostar Rose hall and our first stay at the new section Iberostar Suites.
Every year my brother and I take our families to Jamaica for a week of sun and fun in July.
We more +chose Jamaica because it is an easy island to get to and the people are some of the nicest in the Caribbean. We usually fly Air Jamaica because the flight times are wonderful, you arrive early and depart for home in the evening. Upon arriving into Montego Bay we usually just take a cab to Rose Hall which is about 20 minutes from the airport. Once at the hotel we check in and if the room is ready great, if not the bell staff watches over your luggage and the reception staff goes over hotel facilities with you. They give you a bracelet and you can change in lovely changing areas with bathrooms and showers. Vacation starts by 11 a.m. Perfect. The pool area is lovely and central to every room in the resort. The pool is very large and is the endless ledge that overlooks the beach. There is a fun pool bar that is great for the whole family. My kids look forward to the pina coladas.
There is also a sports pool where activities go on most of the day. There are hourly activities that the staff provides from stretching on the beach to rifle shooting. For the younger children there is a free kids camp that you can sign them in and out at your leisure, they have fun activities throughout the day and also evening activities for them.
We like to sail so the catamarans are a lot of fun for our family, we usually take the out daily.
The kids snorkel on the beach and do see some small fish. The beach has alot of of chairs and huts for shade. Jamaica always does seem to have a nice breeze most days.
In the evening we enjoy dinner at the Al a carte restaurants or go to the buffet. The food is always good and there are many choices. If you stay at the suites you can also use restaurants and facilities at the next door property the beach.
There are beautiful Lobby Bars, Cigar Bars, Music Bars and a huge theatre for evening shows.
There is also a disco but we never go because we have our children with us.
There is also a game room with computers and Internet access.
The rooms are beautiful and spacious. There is a huge bathroom and alot of closet space. There is also a flat screen with a DVD player and a stocked minibar that is included. You can get 24 hour room service.
We stay in an oceanfront room and the balcony and view is fantastic. it is wonderful at sunset to just sit there and relax.
Our week always flies by here and we are hoping to extend our visit to 10 days in 2010.
We have did excursions in the past but this year we just went to Margaritaville for lunch and to use the waterslide and we did the Banana Boat ride at the hotel area.
This Resort is wonderful for families, it is easy to manage and completely all inclusive.
It is truly a VACATION!
