Hotel was very nice and the grounds are beautiful. My son loved the pools and the lazy river. The grill at the pool was great too. THe other hotel restaurants are very pricy. The staff was great. Very helpful and friendly. Joined Omni points more +club and got free milk and cookies every night and coffee in the AM. Only complaint is all the extra fees - resort fee, parking, activities.

What an amazing place. Went to Orlando for the Disney experience. My kids would've been just as happy to stay at the hotel the entire time. It feels like you are at a Caribbean resort. Very secluded. First class in all aspects. I could write more +lots more but don't have the time. Trust me i am very picky and would live at this place if i could. Money well spent!!

We stayed here in March with two young children while my husband attended a conference. Our start was rocky. We were given a standard room despite requesting an upgrade; the desk clerk told us firmly that there were no other options. We were taken more +to a room that reeked of smoke. In fact, there was a plastic bag over the smoke detector! My husband's eyes started watering immediately and the kids started sneezing. A call to the front desk got the manager who was very apologetic and sent two very nice young women to escort us to another room...which was a hospitality suite! It was a standard room with an adjoining room that had a dining room table for eight, full living room set up with couch, chairs and armoire with tv, and a large partial kitchen (sink, small fridge, microwave). That was fabulous as it gave us room to spread out (we usually stay in suite hotels for this very purpose...once you step on a hot wheel in the middle of the night on your way to the bathroom you will, too!). If we had only had a regular room, it would have been small for us. The beds take up most of the space; there is also a desk with chair and a comfy upholstered chair. Bathroom was standard but fine.

The pool area here is great. They have a wonderful lazy river to float down in inner tubes. They also have a great pool that has a zero entry...great for little ones as well as one of those areas with jets that shoot up and things that spray down...lots of ways to get wet! Poolside service from the restaurant was efficient and friendly.

They have a kids' club; my youngest couldn't be dropped off there so we just participated in some of the activities they had at specific times for all kids. They colored dinosaurs, played brief wii tournaments, etc. The club area looked very nice and clean, and you could have kids 5+ go there for the day or in the evening while you went out to dinner. They also had a babysitting service that they recommended (not run by them). We had a fabulous grandma-type who came and stayed with our boys while we went out to dinner with my husband's staff at the restaurant downstairs.

The food at the sports bar restaurant was delicious! (Really more of an upscale pub-like ambiance than a traditional sports bar). The food at the Italian restaurant on the ground level was much more typical hotel food, and we wouldn't recommend that. Buffet breakfast there was fine, but nothing special.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful...they gave the kids a cute backpack when they checked in.

It rained the last two days we were there, so we never made it to Disneyworld. But when we come back for that, we will definitely stay at the Omni (either in a hospitality suite in the main hotel or in one of their villas). And now we will look for other Omni hotels when we travel...they are definitely family friendly in a big way!
