Don’t come expecting your standard theme park area hotel at this popular Orlando vacation resort. Encore is all about vacation rental homes with hotel-like services, and you can choose from houses with three to up to 12 bedrooms, almost all of which have private pools.
The property’s community Club and Aqua Park is a huge hit with families, with thrilling drop slides, a huge pool, cabanas you can rent for the day, and the Surfin’ Safari children’s splash area for the younger members of your crew. For families who love playing sports together, the resort’s soccer fields, tennis, basketball and sand volleyball courts are a huge hit. And there’s an awesome kids’ recreation area, too: the Hang Ten Hideaway, with arcade games, arts and crafts, and a lot more. The staff are always arranging one family activity or another — whether it’s a scavenger hunt, balloon toss or a giant Jenga competition!
The property has several onsite restaurants, as well as a market with basic supplies, sandwiches and snacks. The resort can also arrange chef service or grocery deliveries to your rental house.
And when you’re ready to head off to Orlando’s nearby theme parks (Disney is about 10 miles away), the resort has a free shuttle to whisk you there.

I was skeptical at first as it is a new resort and honestly the prices seemed to good to be true. I went ahead and booked it anyway hoping for the best as it was a last minute trip. Once my family and I got there we were all blown away on how modern, clean, and huge the houses were. I just booked again for my second trip to Orlando and will keep booking here as long as prices remain reasonable and quality stays the same.
We were so looking forward to our week long stay. We stayed at a beautiful house, 7452 Marker Ave, however the house is on a road with construction of other houses all around. This meant noise from many trucks, machinery, work men etc,all whilst trying to relax by the pool. It was sometimes difficult to drive on the road as there were so many trucks in the way. And to top it off, portable toilets right near the house for the workmen.
We also found that the phone in the house did not work all week. We reported this three times with no help at all. This meant we missed out on lots of the extra benefits of staying at this resort; such as the buggy ride to the clubhouse, food delivery from the clubhouse restaurants etc. The vacation management (LRR) do not seem to realise that it costs a bomb for us to make calls on our cell phones as we’re from the UK. Each time we had to drive to the clubhouse to use the phone but still we didn’t have it fixed.
Driving to the clubhouse was a pain too, we had to cross the busy Old Lake Wilson Road, why the would split the resort either sides of this road is baffling.
House was beautiful, large and spacious (5 bed, 5.5 baths), but poorly equipped, with limited kitchenware and towels for the pool. We’ve stayed in houses in this area many times and expect a certain standard for a house and the equipment did not meet expectations.
A couple of other more minor points that detracted from our stay, included the fact that we did not have one single hanger in the house, so no one could hand their clothes. Again, we reported this more than once but did not receive any hangers. Crazy! And finally, we requested pool heating upon arriving, and this was not fully working until around 24 hours later; a ploy to charge you a full week of heating we thought, but yet not to receive a full week.
So overall, we loved the house, but it should not be open for use yet given the majority of the road is not complete. And due to the other bad service points we experienced, this is by no means a luxury stay.
