Drury Plaza the former Alamo Bank landmark, renovated into a luxury hotel. Located near the Alamo and Market Square, the hotel rests on the banks of the River Walk. The 24-story hotel presents rooms with dark wood furnishings and warm colored designs. Rooms feature flat-screen televisions, free wireless Internet and plush beds. Two-room suites are more spacious with a separate bedroom for privacy. All rooms have refrigerators and microwaves. A relaxing rooftop pool and whirlpool is a great venue for hours of quality family time. One of the best things about Drury Plaza is the free hot breakfast that includes comfort foods like biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage. Kickback receptions in the evening present free popcorn, hot food and soda.

Small, with a strange entrance, but with everything you need.

Equidistant hotel to the airport, and to The Alamo. Has a good service, abundant breakfast, comfortable price.
Small corridors, little common area, and a strange entrance. One block from interstate highway.

Perfect blend of modern and history

We arrived in San Antonio around 7:00 pm and the city was quite busy. If you are driving, pull into the parking area under the hotel and wait for the friendly staff to valet park your car. The entrance to the lobby is right thru the doors. The building is an old bank and they have done an amazing job converting it into a hotel. If you go down to the river walk level, they have preserved all the features of the bank, including the safe, safety deposit boxes, and the photos. The marble floors and heavy solid doors are very authentic and impressive. No problems with the elevators. Check in was easy and we went straight up to our room. The room was a good size and very clean. The beds and pillows were perfect. The construction is solid--no hallway or noise from other rooms. It was only until breakfast did we learn of how many people were actually in the hotel! The breakfast was done very well, with many areas to sit and choices of foods. The staff worked hard to keep up and replenish. Checkout was 12:30 so we had plenty of time to do the river walk cruise and visit the Alamo within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again.
