Drury Plaza the former Alamo Bank landmark, renovated into a luxury hotel. Located near the Alamo and Market Square, the hotel rests on the banks of the River Walk. The 24-story hotel presents rooms with dark wood furnishings and warm colored designs. Rooms feature flat-screen televisions, free wireless Internet and plush beds. Two-room suites are more spacious with a separate bedroom for privacy. All rooms have refrigerators and microwaves. A relaxing rooftop pool and whirlpool is a great venue for hours of quality family time. One of the best things about Drury Plaza is the free hot breakfast that includes comfort foods like biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage. Kickback receptions in the evening present free popcorn, hot food and soda.

Everything about this hotel does not disappoint. Making a reservation at the front desk was a great experience. Evening reception was very organized and the staff is prepared for everything. The breakfast buffet on a Saturday morning easily accommodated every guest. Our room was amazing for a the well renovated property. My only disappointment is I have never stayed here before.
We stayed for 2 nights in the deluxe double queen room (upper floor). It was awesome! The room is huge!! It feels like 2 to 3 rooms put together into a single extra spacious room. The beds were so comfortable and the ceiling fan was an added benefit. Our room had 6 large windows overlooking 2 views of the city - beautiful at night. We were able to see the laser light show from the cathedral terrace in the hotel, which was nice. The free breakfast was very tasty and so many items... Then they also offer hot food and beverages, which includes three free alcoholic drinks for adults, each night. The riverwalk can be accessed directly from the bottom level of the hotel, which is also where you can see the old bank vaults and some historic pictures of the hotel/bank. I really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. It was a splurge for us, but was very reasonably priced for the area, especially considering all the amenities.
