Okay in fairness I did not pick this spot so Ill try to be kind but it will be difficult . The good things : The room was decent , clean and had good a/c , the maids were prompt and did nice job. The people who worked there were nice , the owner was a great guy . In general Ocho Rios is a getto in USA terms . I ve been to negril 12 times and had great times , not here was not for me . Every one is out to take your money ( which is normal ) but it is over whelming here to me . This spot is for jamacians not Americans , they have no small shop to buy any thing , the people working there can not understand any details , the restaurant had omelets and little pieces of fruit , with some bread , the coffe cups are 4 oz , there is zero a/c besides the room , the dinners are at best average to poor . I really could not eat there after 2 nd night I got a rubber fish was suppose to be grilled there was no sign of grilling . No taste . I am sorry to say all this but it was not a good time and I was glad to get away .

My stay at Hibiscus Lodge, in Ocho Rios, was absolutely fantastic. This was my first stay at the hotel and it will definitely not be the last. The cost is most affordable and it includes a healthy Jamaican breakfast.

The ambience is what every tourist wants to experience. To all visitors to Ocho Rios, you have not vacationed until you have vacationed at the Hibiscus Lodge /Almond Tree Restaurant.

The restaurant, Almond Tree, is built around beautiful almond trees. The view is breathtaking, the food is sumptuous, the staff is phenomenal. The compound is clean and the property boast a variety of fruit trees and flowers.

The hidden “ gem” is the beach that is nestled below the restaurant. Steps descend from the restaurant to the sun deck and from the deck into the ocean. The water is crystal clear and very inviting.

I would like to thank the following people for making my stay most memorable: Jeniffer Williams ( manager), Lesmore ( waiter) and Taj ( lifeguard).

I wish management and staff continued success. Continue to provide stellar service to your guests.
