First trip to Madeira

Great position within easy reach of Funchal town. We stayed in a Superior room which had stunning views across the ocean and harbour. Room was kept very clean Facilities were excellent. Staff were attentive, polite, friendly and always willing to help. The Superior room entitled us to breakfast in Il Gallo which was a mix of buffet and cooked to order. Very impressed with all aspects of the hotel and we would definitely stay again.

Great Family break

To celebrate my birthday we spent a week at the fabulous Cliff Bay Hotel. There were 8 of us ranging from 6 months to 60 years old. Can’t speak for the 6 month old but we all had a great time. All the staff were helpful and very professional. Breakfast time was great. Always a large variety to choose from: waffles, french toast, cereals, cakes, fresh fruit, eggs were always available.
We had lunch at the hotel which was lovely. Even a simple tuna sandwich was turned into a delicious meal.
There were plenty of sun lounges and the pools and pool areas were always well kept with excellent staff.
