Perfect location in the historic centre

by lgs701

The Parador is great value, well located near all the activity, safe, clean and welcoming. It is on the Alcala just above the cathedral and so is in a slightly quieter area within easy walking to the zocalo. One thing to be aware of is that the suites have windows that open onto a common well in the center and sound does travel. Bring along your earplugs if that is an issue. The suites are very large and just as they appear in the photos. Staff are terrific - both office and cleaning. Javier, who manages the Parador, is a real gentleman and wonderful to deal with. We can highly recommend this place.

Great location!!

The suites are walking distance to anywhere! Just along the road from the Cathedral, restaurants, cafes, and the Zocolo, but far enough to be away from the honking horns and constant hum! We actually walked with luggage from the bus station (which might be a little farther than most people would walk with luggage at approx. 1km).

There's a little cafe just around the corner that makes good coffee to start the day and a pool to help you relax at the end!! The suites are self contained units, and although the furnishings are a little dated, it had everything we needed - a kitchen, reasonable sized lounge room, 2 double beds and separate bath/toilet. The manager was very obliging and helpful.

The only downside is that the hotel is built in a square shape with kitchen & bedroom windows all facing inward around a square. We literally could hear EVERYTHING!! At one stage we had to ask the manager to go and quieten down a room as they were shouting and keeping us all awake (which they did immediately so all good). So even though the road noise was not a problem it would depend on the visitors as to the noise level.

We loved the nice clean pool and used it every day.
