5 Nights at Hyatt Place Garden City

by stephenk0ch

Wife and I stayed 5 nights at Hyatt Place, to spend some time at Jones beach and attend Jimmy Buffett concert at Jones beach amphitheatre. We did similar for 4 nights last year. The hotel is in a commercial area, but is set back a bit so area is quiet. The rooms are spacious suites ( L shaped sleeper, couple queens, work desk, dry bar, fridge, coffee maker and large T.V.) It is only 15 minutes to beach with easy access to Meadowbrook parkway. Shopping Plaza and Roosevelt field mall are walking distance for good shopping and dining. We did not eat dinner at hotel this year but did a couple times last year and found it very good and reasonably priced. The breakfast was good last year and even better this year( they've added even more fresh fruit and yogurt and the scrambled eggs were very good). Reggie and the front desk crew were very helpful and friendly.Hyatt Place will be my go to location for any future visits to the area.

Short NY visit

Great location, walking distances to all store. Just need more food and drinks selections for the restaurant. besides a weird odor coming from the toilet in the middle of the night from the sewer the room was nice and clean. For the bathrooms being so small, should update them to walk in showers instead of bath tubs.
