TripAdvisor Rating

On an island made up mostly of cottage rentals and B&Bs, it’s nice to find a large inn able to accommodate families. Oversized Guest Rooms provide extra space over standard guest rooms with two full or double beds for families. While Cottage Rooms are bigger, all but one only offer king-sized beds. However, the rooms do connect to other rooms so you can book two or more rooms for a family visit. They include mini refrigerator and free WiFi.

staff seemed to be annoyed by guests

by Debbie L

Rooms are fine, but bed uncomfortable due to worn out mattress. The staff was not welcoming at all. Grounds are nice, breakfast buffet was good. Shuttle to and from town was helpful. Expensive, but Nantucket is an expensive place to visit. The Island is beautiful

Truly a fine hotel—almost lux.

Our roomy room was decorated in an updated colonial decor—hard to describe. Everything in the room looked new; we had two sinks-one in the bathroom and one in the bathroom’s anteroom—always welcome. What I liked most was the included alfresco breakfast on the second story deck overlooking the air field. The air temperature, sun, slight sea breeze and service made me feel so special. The breakfast was outstanding: fresh waffles, fresh fruit salad, blintzes, fresh Danish, assorted breads, bacon and sausage done to perfection, newspapers—where does all this come from on this tiny island? Maybe the name of the restaurant “Mom’s” made me suspect less. (Mom’s was never like this.) A free shuttle is available for transportation to town. Indoor swimming pool was a nice amenity. Front desk and wait staff were eager to please. Nice place. The only improvement--could someone move the whole operation a little closer to town?
