One of the island’s most luxurious resorts may not seem entirely family-friendly but a stay in one of its Courtyard Cottages provides a two-bedroom place for families to relax, with one kind-sized bed or two twins and one queen-sized bed. The resort offers a private bay and Atlantic beach, tennis courts, free WiFi, board games, fishing pools, a DVD library with hot buttered popcorn, and daily refreshments, including fresh fruit and bottled water available at any time, and champagne on the lawn at sunset. The resort also provides cooking classes, Jeep tours, cruises and more. Mom and dad shouldn’t miss dinner in its world-famous, five-star TOPPERS restaurant.

Always a treat to dine here before sunset. Great cocktails on the lawn, and then a lovely dinner at Toppers.
Great presentation and interesting combination of ingredients- no matter what one orders. Friendly service in a professional manner.
The quintessential Nantucket retreat, and no other place on Island like it!
The team is always so welcoming, friendly and super helpful it’s truly like staying with family.
The attention to detail by the Wauwinet team is always appreciated; from the check-in staff, to the top notch Toppers crew and of course our friendly housekeeping squad who are always there with a smile. The whole team (including our main man James) are genuinely nice people!!
With such a beautiful location, it’s easy to relax and enjoy the superb facilities which include easy access to the Atlantic Ocean beach or harbour beach out back for nice long walks. The living room with a huge fireplace that’s always stoked on a crisp fall day (along with the complimentary tasty hot cider in the early afternoon). The back porch with amazing sunset views is a great place to chill with a book too.
Lot of options to get around Island and easy trip to town with their free shuttle. We usually bring our own 4x4 or sometimes rent a Jeep on island because beach access / off-roading on island can take you to some amazing sites. The Wauwinet is situated at the entrance of the Coskata Coatue Wildlife Refuge which leads up to the spectacular views offered at Great Point via a fun drive up on the beach.
We love staying here to unplug for some quality R&R and The Wauwinet always delivers. Any way you slice it, The Wauwinet is THE place to stay on ACK!
Eric & team, thanks again for yet another great visit and see you in April for opening!!
