One of the island’s most luxurious resorts may not seem entirely family-friendly but a stay in one of its Courtyard Cottages provides a two-bedroom place for families to relax, with one kind-sized bed or two twins and one queen-sized bed. The resort offers a private bay and Atlantic beach, tennis courts, free WiFi, board games, fishing pools, a DVD library with hot buttered popcorn, and daily refreshments, including fresh fruit and bottled water available at any time, and champagne on the lawn at sunset. The resort also provides cooking classes, Jeep tours, cruises and more. Mom and dad shouldn’t miss dinner in its world-famous, five-star TOPPERS restaurant.

My girlfriend Megan, treated us to a 3 night stay at this gem of a property. We were greeted with a big smile and a warm welcome to the Wauwinet from James, who took our bags and led us into the front desk. Another warm welcome and smile from Ali behind the front desk. We arrived quite early, 8:30 am so we didn't think our room would be ready but to our pleasant surprise, it was, thank you so much Ali and Capt. Rob for our little secret, making us feel like VIPs. Thank you Natalie, also at the front desk, for your patience. We got there on Memorial Day, and it was in the 50s so there was a chill in the air and the wonderful aroma of a wood burning fire place in the cozy living room. At 4pm there's an assortment of cheese, Port and Sherry and the GM, Erick, might make an appearance, throw a log in the fire place and say hello (if he's not too busy) . The Inn offers a van to get you in and out of town which is about 15 minutes away and Riken and Omar were the drivers as well as Stephen who drove while the drivers take their dinner break. We spent most of the day sitting on very comfortable chaise lounge chairs relaxing, looking out to the Bay and reading. Gabriella walked over to check if we needed anything, we were ok at that point but we did make a reservation with her for dinner at Toppers where she works as a hostess. The service and presentation was first class and something on the menu for everyone. Thank you all for making our stay a most memorable one, Corky
Another great stay at The Wauwinet. The team was first rate as usual from check in to the Toppers dining crew to the housekeeping team, always so friendly and helpful!!
The Wauwinet always delivers a relaxing enjoyable stay and the updates to the rooms were amazing. Great job on making a great place even better.
Thank you again for another wonderful and memorable vacation!
See you in the Fall!
