The hotel is immaculate, rooms incredibly comfortable and the staff are amazing. We arrived on the day of a Marathon, so the taxi could not take us down the street to our hotel. We had arranged our airport pick up through the hotel so, the driver was able to phone ahead and two bellman were waiting for us down the street to help with our bags.

Seems like a small thing, but, it goes to show the high customer service standard that they follow.

Th location is absolutely awesome!!! Great walking along the River and over the bridge to the Wine Caves. We had a River front room with two French doors. Absolutely gorgeous! Bed was very comfortable and well planned layout.

The buffet breakfast was amazing!!! Anything you could possibly want on the buffet, or you could have a made to order omelette or pancakes. We also enjoyed dinner at their Steak Restaurant on two evenings. Very relaxing and lovely atmosphere after all the walking over the course of the day. Great way to cap off a day of touring in Porto with an amazing steak!

We also had the opportunity to meet the General Manager... and we were excited to learn that the Pestana is coming to NYC!

Loved everything about this hotel. We were upgraded to a river view room upon arrival. Very pleasant surprise, I would highly recommend the river front rooms. The buffet breakfast is over-the-top amazing. It was fun to observe the activity in the square below.During our stay there were hundreds of enthusiastic Scotsmen in the square for multiple days supporting their futbal team with singing and chanting. This did not bother us at all because the doublepaned windows eliminated all exterior noise. The staff is very eager to please. We enjoyed every minute!
