Reviews

Absolutely the best place to stay in Wildwood

by Janet E

The Resort is very clean, well managed and an absolute stay at when in Wildwood NJ. The restaurant is awesome, the pool area is wonderful and staff are always there to help, give directions and just plain talk. Excellent value. Stayed for a week and I am looking forward to next year! Cape May is around the corner and Stone Harbor is a hidden gem.

Sept. ‘19 Reges’ Indian Summer Package

EXCELLENT VALUE for 3 nights in an oceanview suite, breakfasts, a dinner, and a 2 hr dolphin watch cruise in Cape May.
Check in: was a breeze, very pleasant staff. Luggage carts provided. Efficient elevators.

Parking: Free. I always got a spot, very little room between cars. Had an outside bike rack.

Breakfast: was ok, waiter service, not buffet. Voucher entitled you to a full breakfast selection from the “package” menu, or as the waitress informed us (on day 3) we could apply $5 (voucher) to a regular menu item. Some outside tables. Good coffee. Would’ve appreciated some turkey bacon/sausage. Didn’t eat lunch in hotel restaurant.

Location: WW Crest, very nice, safe, neighborhood, away from the busier Wildwood. Very short drive, or 10 min. bike ride to boardwalk. Easy access to nice beach right behind hotel. Many area restaurants had closed for the season but still plenty to choose from. Check for area festivities. We were pleasantly surprised by Italian Festival in WW with great food and entertainment. 15 min. drive to Cape May which has plenty of cool stuff (e.g. Octoberfest) Bicycle-friendly. Tons of good food. Bars. Live Music

Room: Had that “lived in look”, but it was clean and smelled good enough for the two of us. Efficiency suite provided plenty of elbow room. 2 Sliding doors separate bedroom from living room. Big TV’s in both rooms were good quality, with basic cable channels. DVR in living room. Don’t remember seeing one in bedroom. You can rent movies but not a great selection IMO. Balcony w/ 2 chairs and little table, nice breeze, a great view, especially sunrise.

Bedroom: 2 Queen beds, one was very uncomfortable and gave us an unpleasant night’s sleep, so we switched, and the second bed was better. Plenty of very soft pillows. Good responsive climate control. EL outlets inconveniently located.

Bathroom: not modern, but functional, no issues.

Kitchenette: area was nice. Dining table/chairs. Fridge (regular size) worked great. Didn’t use stove/oven. Dishes, pots/pans etc provided. Mr. Coffee. (bring your own coffee). Microwave.

Pool: nice, clean, relaxing environment with a bbq section with tables. Didn’t go in pool or hot tub but witnessed many guests enjoying both.

BOTTOM LINE: A very good value! The wife and I would stay here again for sure! The good aspects of the Reges far outweigh anything bad. We had a great 3-day weekend. I’d give it a 4.5 out of 5.
