At Suenos Tulum, you will find yourself immersed in a natural, eco-Mayan resort that pays homage to the Mayan culture and gods that used to reign here. Guest suites are found in a collection of buildings that harken back to a time gone by. There are no TVs to distract visitors from the surrounding beauty, which includes a swimming pool and an onsite restaurant. You can relax on a day bed on the beach while the kids play in the sand and surf. For those wanting to venture off the property, the staff can assist you in booking local tours.

This Hotel is perfect, had such a wonderful stay, it was beautiful, staff there friendly, go out of there to help, beach area just for guests with hammocks and beds, many sitting areas at hotel one with a firepit they light every night, food amazing drinks amazing, beautiful room with a great view, our Honeymoon was great, would give 10 stars if I could.
This was actually our second time here, and this time with our newborn, so it was a pretty meaningful trip for us. We were already blown away the first time a couple years ago and the second time was no different.
What we love about this place is the detail in tranquility. It’s located away from the central hub of the party scene which also helps. The landscape design is rustic yet incredibly elegant. There is something so peaceful about their grounds, which is extremely hard to describe without being there in person. Both day and night, it’s almost zen. The trees, plants, fire pit, even the lobby. Their beach is impeccable, with plenty of beds and chairs. Even though Tulum was getting rocked by seaweed this time, it didn’t matter, it’s still stunning.
It also helps that it’s a very small, private hotel with a restaurant that only serves its guests. One of the things we were really excited about returning to was the restaurant. Try everything on the menu. Especially the enchiladas and the tuna tartare. 5 star quality. And yes, the best margaritas. We tried margaritas in a bunch of fancy spots, and none came close to Suenos.
The rooms are super charming, colorful, and decorated by hand. If you’re looking for some typical sterile resort accommodation, you’d be missing the point at Suenos. They really emphasize feeling like you’re part of the surrounding nature. And this all adds to the experience of being supremely relaxed.
Then there’s the staff. From the maids to the waitstaff, you feel like you’re truly a special guest. From the moment you arrive and order your first drink, they’ll already know which room you’re staying in. I love that you don’t have to sign a bill for every beer you order. They keep the tally for you, which for us, makes things a lot easier, stress free, and relaxing.
I could go on and on, but this is without exaggeration one of our favorite places in the world. Thank you so much Elizabeth for your great recommendations and also to the rest of the staff for going above and beyond to accommodate our young family. We hope to see you again soon!!
