This boutique hotel is a wonderful choice for families who value privacy and elegance. It’s set up on a bluff overlooking the Pacific, so you can watch for whales, sea birds, and lighthouse lanterns. A stairway winds down to the beautiful shores of Nye Beach, so you can easily walk back and forth.
Families with younger children up to pre-teens can’t go wrong with the kids’ suite, which features a king-sized bed, bunk beds, and sofa sleepr, plus a gas fireplace and private balcony with a view of the ocean. Those with teens may prefer the two-bedroom suite, which gives everyone extra space, with a king bed in each room and queen-sized sofa sleeper in the living room.
Other onsite extras include complimentary breakfast each morning, a DVD library, board game rentals, sundeck with chairs, fresh-baked cookies and coffee on arrival.

We went to the coast for a quick weekend get away, what a lovely hotel located in charming Nye Beach. The room was lovely and decorated with local artwork. We were impressed with the staff, very friendly. We brought our little dog with us and were delighted to receive the "doggy bag" at check in. We really appreciated that the room was absent of strong detergent and/or cleaning odors; We also loved how quiet the room was and we were on the ground floor. The fire pits are beautiful. We will definitely return and have already recommended to friends and family.
This is a wonderful place to stay. Great rooms, great location, marvelous views, top-notch front office staff. The only thing I can criticize is the $20 a day fee for dog guests. That adds up when you are staying multiple days, as we did. As someone who often travels with our dogs, I think one fee per stay is appropriate. That's the only reason I do not give this an Excellent rating on Value. If there are any problems with dogs in the hotel, including damage, those can be handled as needed. Also, there are no vending machines, which I found unusual for a hotel of this size. When I asked if I could get a diet Coke I was told there was a convenience store several blocks down the street but they were not available in the hotel. But those short-comings do not get in the way of a great visit. If I return to Newport (as I have several times in the past), this is where I would stay. This is a great place.
