Overview

The Whaler has one of the best locations in the Nye Beach area of Newport, Oregon. Kids will absolutely love Coast Park, the playground paradise that sits right next door to the hotel. The park features swings, climbing structures, a pond, a pirate ship, and one of the longest tube slides we’ve ever seen on a playground. You might have to remind your kids that there’s an equally exciting beach there as well, directly across the street from The Whaler!

Parents will love the easy access to the shops and restaurants of Nye Beach, many of which are mere minutes from the hotel.

Every room here boasts an ocean view from a private balcony. If you’re looking for something for a larger family, The Whaler manages several nearby vacation homes, Other amenities include free Wi-Fi; in-room refrigerators and microwaves; free breakfast; an indoor pool; spa; laundry facilities; and free popcorn at night.

Very Clean

by B_VWestCoast

Was greeted by very pleasant front desk staff so off to good start. The property was very clean so that was refreshing as some properties along the cost are showing their wear & tear. The room had no odor which was refreshing & the views are wonderful with semi private balconies.
Overall a very nice property but would prefer if was right on the Beach as there is a road right in-front which has traffic 24/7.
Also we did NOT find the place that quiet!
You diffidently hear the neighbors above & to the side of you!! Note if you stayed in one of the Homes it would be quieter.
Having said that, due to the cleanliness of the Property would stay again but would book a top floor.

Nice Place, Rooms are Small and Dated

by FromAway67

The rooms are quiet and have a sea view. That is the highlight of the place. The rooms are very old and very small. The bathrooms are 60's. They are a little overpriced for what you get. Front desk is nice. Breakfast with room is disappointing. Views and access to beach is excellent.
