Overview

This 30-story high-rise hotel towers over the beautiful River Walk in San Antonio. Across the street lay the Rivercenter Mall and the convention center. Families will want to check out the Alamo historic site — a short, three-block walk. Can’t beat the location! More than 500 guestrooms display balconies that overlook the river or the cityscape. Spacious rooms are equipped with premium cable and LCD high-definition televisions, high-speed Internet (for a fee) and cribs on request. Decors are inviting and calming with warm, neutral tones and rich, cherry wood accents. If your room faces the river, step out on your balcony for a beautiful evening sunset. A small number of suites feature larger spaces with sitting areas and multiple rooms. For fun, a sundeck holds an indoor/outdoor pool that will break up the touristy site-seeing for kids. Cactus Flower Restaurant serves traditional Southwestern fare, complete with Mexican creations for each meal. A festive atmosphere displays gold accents and chic designs. A Starbucks is also at the Marriott. Outside, a garden terrace with an ancient Spanish Oak leads to the River Walk.

Convenient location but really needs updating

by drivinggirl

Nice staff and always quick with the water bottle when you are heading out. Great location for the Convention Center. The rooms are definitely in need of updating. We felt we had to wear shoes just walking around our room. Ceilings funky throughout the property. Not sure if there are better options in the area but will do a better search if we return to SA.

Gorgeous Walk

by Teresa B

I was in San Antonio for work but walked the Ruverwalk daily. It was so gorgeous with so much to see & do along the way that it made me forget how far I had walked...yeah, 6 miles one morning. I highly recommend a dinner cruise also.
