We booked our stay through Armed Forces Vacation Club (AFVC). If you're eligible, booking through AFVC is the best way to stay at a Pueblo Bonito resort as you will get the same benefits as an owner, such as being able to purchase an all-inclusive package, free wi-fi, and a choice of room location.
A month before traveling we contacted the resort via email and purchased the Silver all-inclusive package. The cost was about $475/person and for us, it was well worth it. Upon arrival, check-in was quick and easy, with our all-inclusive package waiting.
You will have to sign for all drinks and food, so over a 7-day period that adds up to a lot of receipts. We kept every receipt and at check-out there were no surprise charges (as I've read in other reviews). For us, everything was on the up-and-up.
This resort is in a fantastic location with great views from every room. It's a 15 minute (safe) walk into town, which we did daily. The downside on the resort are the furnishings in the 1 bedroom. They have two twin beds in the room, leaving no room to get around the beds. The next time we will book a studio, which has a better layout of the beds.
This is the 4th time we've stayed at this resort and we will definitely come back. We had fantastic service from the following people: Front desk - Samuel and Alexa; bar and restaurant - Fernando, Martin (server), David, and Ilsa; Pool Bar - Daniel and Juan.

Stay was amazing. The resort is a bit dated but beautiful. Amazingly clean. The employees are cheerful, helpful and very hard working. Beds were comfortable. But BEWARE of the desk across from the reception area. TIME SHARE REPS ARE GONNA GET YOU. The reception desk will tell you to go get your WELCOMING GIFT, NOT TRUE. The time shares are at their sister resort SUNSET. Great for their INFINITY POOL. We visited for the day. Music, and Pool Bar. Food very good. We played at the Rose, great atmosphere. There's The Blanco, The Sunset and The Pacifico and The Rose. You can stay in one and play in all. I stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Blanco( which I am reviewing). The CILANTRO restaurant got 5 stars on Trip Advisor, but I truly will only give it a 3. Service is quite SLOW, food is rather warm by the time it gets to your table. The room service is great but their rule of only 2 beverages per call is ridiculous. I had to call every 1/2 hour just to get 6 Coronas. Their pool and beach food service is good. Try their Shrimp Cocktail, its huge. Also their Seafood Ceviche, amazing. We ate at the Las Palomas, good. The best was their buffet, The Mare Nostrum. Lots of variety. their Carrot Cake is to die for and their Carrot muffins. By the way The Sunset Resort has 17 restaurants. There's a Yacht always docked in the middle of the beach belongs to Dennis Washington. Great for selfies. We took a small boat to see Lovers Beach, Divorce Beach and Los Arcos. Great cheap tour. I booked it on the beach via the resort rep. Go check out MANGO'S on the beach. Lots of fun. I booked a Dinner Sunset Cruise with OCEANUS. Very disappointing, pricey and not worth it. BEWARE.
